ELIGIBILITY

  • Admission only for brahmachary (celibate)
  • Dedicated & Disciplined
  • Reliant towards Vedic principles
  • Keenly interested in yoga & acquiring knowledge of Darshans
  • Competent in Sanskrit language (Preference to Vyakranacharya, Shastri & equivalent)
  • Faithfully following yama-niyama
  • Vow of serving the society without any self-interest.
  • Sacrificed, decent & diligent
  • Any kind of communication with kinsfolk is forbidden during study period
  • Age more than eighteen years.

Brahmacharies seeking regular admission have to undergo an aptitude test and probation period of three months during which their intellect, spirituality & behavior is observed.

CONTENT

  • Analytical teaching of Vedic Darshans (Yoga, Sankhya, Vaisheskika, Nyaya, Vedanta, Mimansa) along with their verbal & written tests.

  • 10 Upnishadas, selective topics of Vedas & basic knowledge relating to Vyakrana is taught.

  • "Darshanacharya", " Darshan Visharad", "Darshan Prajya" - degrees are conferred upon the brahmcharies competent in teaching Darshans & also " Yoga Visharad", "Yoga Prajya" to those possessing ability of giving practical yoga training.

  • Knowledge of abstruse spiritual Vedic tenets is advanced to barahmcharies which enables them in delivering sermons, solving the spiritual complexities, apprehensive essay writing etc.

  • Brahmcharies enlighten their lives by achieving theoretical as well as practical knowledge regarding Nishkam-Karma, Yama Niyama etc.

  • Unbiased & free of cost availability of all necessary amenities ( food, clothes, books, milk, ghee etc.)

  • Individual meditation (dhyan) for at least two hours is indispensable Practical yoga training is provided on subtle spiritual subjects such as Vivek Vairagya-Abhyas, Ishwar - Pranidhan, Dhyan, Samadhi, Removal of Self attachment etc.

  • Emphasizing yama-niyama minutely through mind, speech & body Observing silence during prescribed hours.

  • Self-inspection (introspection) is made regularly in which faults committed by an individual are submitted before all & cautions are taken for its improvement in future.

  • Medium of conversation is Sanskrit

  • Regular conduct of Agni-hotra, pronunciation of Vedic-Mantras & Vedic lectures.

  • Weekly Asana training & fortnightly lecture training

  • Verbal & written tests of Darshans ideal, busy & diligent routine based on gurukul system
